Belly Dancing Lessons

Regularly scheduled weekly belly dance classes with Shahina are held at Shahina’s Studio in Glen Ellyn. Private and group lessons in Middle Eastern dance are also available by appointment.

SPRING CLASS SESSION: (March, April, May)
SUMMER CLASS SESSION: (June, July, August)
FALL CLASS SESSION: (September, October, November)
WINTER CLASS SESSION: (December, January, February)

Each 3 month session includes 10-12 weekly classes, allowing for breaks, weather cancellations, etc. A 3 month commitment is required to obtain session pricing. Less than 3 months is subject to drop-in rates. You may join at any time, it is not necessary to wait for a new session to begin.

Class Schedule:
Beginners – Bellydance 101: Monday evenings 8:30- 10:00 pm
Intermediate – Technique, Drills and Choreography: Monday evenings 7:00-8:30
Intermediate – Improvisation and soloist training: Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30

Monday – 6:15am-7:15am

Friday – 6:15am-7:15am

Monday  8:30pm – 10:00pm – Belly Dance 101
Wednesday 7:00pm – 8:30pm – Solo & Improvisation

While belly dance is an excellent form of exercise, there is no magical workout that will shape you up in 90 minutes per week. Shahina offers discounts for multiple classes and recommends balancing your workout with other forms of dance, yoga and pilates. Shahina also conducts dance skills workshops which focus on specific areas of improvement.
