Belly Dance Shows with Isis Wings

Wings of Isis are a dramatic belly dance tool for capturing and holding the attention of an audience. In the hand (or more correctly, on the arms) of a skilled and experienced dancer, Isis wings elevate the performance, making the dancer's subtle movements more dramatic and visible to the audience.

You may request that Shahina incorporate the use of Isis wings into her performance.

Successful Use of Isis Wings at Your Event

1. First consideration: is there space enough? Isis wings extend a dancer's reach beyond the eight foot height of most home ceilings. The best Isis wing performances take place on a stage, outdoors, or in a spacious commercial venue.

2. How full is your event? Even if your venue is large, will there be open areas for performance? For example: wings present logistical challenges if dancers are moving between closely place tables at a wedding or banquet.

3. If you have a gift or message to be presented, Shahina can bestow it upon the guest of honor for you. Let Shahina know if there is anything special you would like her to say or do.

4. Make certain that there is adequate space cleared for Shahina to dance in.

5. How intimate is the event? Wings work best in large venues because they help to draw distant audience members into the enchantment of the dance. If the feeling of your event is smaller and more intimate the use of wings can be overpowering.

6. Are you considering a performance by a troupe of dancers? A choreographed performance with Isis wings by an experienced troupe such as Zephyra will make an unforgettable impression on your guests.

Wing Styles and Colors

Shahina and Zephyra have many pairs of wings. Colors include white, silver and gold. Wings should be coordinated with the dancers' outfits, so see Shahina's costume choices.
