Henna Body Art Workshop
We're doing it again! By popular demand Shahina is having another henna party in 2007.
Learn to apply henna to others and/or to have
henna applied to yourself. Receive instruction in how to make your designs last as long as possible and how to
remove them sooner if desired.
Mehndi (henna) is from the culture of India and is traditionally used to decorate the hands and feet of a bride in
preparation for her wedding. Designs can be simple or very elaborate, small and inconspicuous or big and bold. Mehndi
is painless and temporary, so you can be as daring as you like, knowing that it will be gone in a week or two. It is
safe for children and pregnant women.
Date: Friday, June 13, 2008
Time: 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
It will be necessary to let your design set as long as possible before covering it with clothing or sleeping on it.
For the best results plan on arriving at the beginning and leave whenever you need to.
Place: Shahina's Studio in Glen Ellyn
All registrants will receive e-mail confirmation with directions to my
studio plus instructions for preparing yourself for your henna designs.
Cost: $20 women, $10 girls age approximately 6-12 (children must be
able to sit very still for 30 minutes or more)
Price
includes supplies, refreshments and as many designs as we can accomplish in the
course of the evening.
